Duneaton Quarry is situated near junction 13 on the M74, we supply customers throughout Central and Southern Scotland with high quality stone products for a variety of applications.

We have an extensive range of aggregates, varying from 6mm stone through to Gabion stone and rock armour, we can apply our knowledge and expertise to provide solutions for those requiring small decorative applications through to major construction projects.

The quarry was established in 2009, the mineral type is a Greywacke of the Ordovician Formation, the characteristic of the mineral is grey in colour with rich quartz veins and can be high in iron. These characteristics create a durable stone with a sound hardness which weathers little over time, due to the rich quartz veins this generates a high polished stone value of 71%.

During our establishment we have been privileged to service a variety of different sectors from, private, civil engineering, house building, agriculture and we have recently seen an increase for single size products, servicing the asphalt road surfacing industry.

To operate our Quarry to the highest standards, we are privileged to be represented by renowned consultants specialising in Planning, Design, Geotechnical Assessment, Surveying and Health and Safety. This allows us achieve compliance with all regulatory bodies involved within quarrying industry.

Haulage

To ensure that our delivery and collection services match the high standards of our materials and client service, Duneaton Quarry owns and operates a large fleet of tippers and 20t bulk trailers. All vehicles are weighed on our calibrated weighbridge system, which is operated in accordance with the Weights and Measures Act. This allows us to manage the volumes required for clients, also making sure all road going vehicles are not jeopardised by carrying excessive weight, permissible to the vehicle hauling.

We can offer competitive rates for haulage, with a delivery scope of up to 20 miles radius from the quarry.

Health and Safety

Our dedicated team from Management to general operatives, are all trained to the highest regulative body standards, CPCS / NPORS & MPQC credentials, Quarry Safety Passports, Health & Safety training, with regular briefing on issues pertinent to quarry operations such as Dust, Noise, Vehicle / Plant Operations and current legislation, whilst having the experience, skills and knowledge to allow us to effectively deal with customer requirements and manage the quarry safely and efficiently.
